About The James Group

James Suner, President and CEO

James has been in love with Real Estate since the age of four and his first game of Monopoly. As a 21-year-old entrepreneur, he received a contractors license and went about building a company that eventually employed over 38 people and had long-term contracts with some of the largest builders in the country.

After building several custom homes and forming an investment arm, Suner formed the James Group in 1999 to pursue real estate development and construction full time. James has been an active and well-respected member of the Gilroy community, serving as the Vice Chair of the Downtown Specific Plan Task Force, President of the Gilroy Downtown Business Association and completing the Leadership Gilroy program.

Through extensive course work with Urban Land Institute and continuing education seminars, Suner has stayed at the forefront of land planning and entitlement issues. James lives in Gilroy with his wife Carolyn and their two children Brianna and Garrett. He is an avid motorcyclist, traveler, and golfer.

His positive attitude and irrepressible sense of humor make an indelible mark wherever he goes.
